Whenever I start up Prototype, I always get a blackscreen(No its not loading I've waited for 18 minutes once). If there is a solution please post.

Try running it as administrator.

If that doesn't work, you're stuff out of luck.

right click. There should be an option.

If you use vista, it'll show up as "run as administrator"

if you use XP, it'll show up as "run as..."

Is your PC powerful enough to run prototype..?

Are you using this mouse? If so, it has problems with the dirrectx prototype uses.

I had the same problem with Left 4 Dead until i got a new graphics card.

That may not be the case with him, Explosivo, it could just be he is using something that does not like the directx he needs/has and or he is not using a good PC.

If he only have sound then he needs a new graphic card.

Wrong, if have had the problem like I, you would know that you are thinking of the last step to fix it.
I was using the Sidewinder mouse and it had a problem with the directx needed for the game.
In other words, once I got a new mouse, it worked.

Yeah, apparantly the problem is this:
He's trying to run it off of a computer with a Celeron processor, less than 1 GB of RAM.
At least, that's what I was told.
