Well in the heat of battle how would you like to chop arms, legs, and heads straight off!? I mean this would go good with explosions and some melee weapons. Mainly weapons with sharp pointy tips. Any one like this?

i think it would just be them falling off with a little "ouch" particle
would be cool if someone could make it so if your arm comes off you cant use the item you were holding in it

What if there was a Non regenerating limb playertype and a Regenerating limb playertype? And when someone cuts off both of your legs, you have to crawl?

if you recover a certain amount of health you regrow limbs

or if you dont take damage for a while they regrow

Another idea get:

When a limb is chopped off, it creates a projectile kind of like the jeep wreckage or the Gore mod's. You know, how it kind of has the parts fall off and bounce before disappearing? Think that only with the individual body part.
