Author Topic: I question my family's "personal privacy"  (Read 3810 times)

Bones, I wanted to C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER, but now I can't since you posted...

:D I saved you embarrassment.

I quickly learned the magic of never-before-used passwords and a fingerprint scanner. My computer is impenetrable by parental units or any unwanted persons.

I think they have a right to look at your computer, though they should have just asked. My friends dad installed a keylogger and a program that takes a screencap every 10 seconds and he can't get rid of the thing :c and it makes his computer lag so He can't even use it.

cant get rid of it?

Time for some Unlocker! Or CCleaner... unlocker didnt help me get rid of mmplayer.exe, the evil that killed firefox, but CCleaner's program deleter did...

That is what they invented livecds for :)

Boot up a different operating system so you don't get that "you can't delete this file because windows is using it" error when you try and erase the keylogger. Any keyloggers, viruses, or other junk that are hiding in your hard drive and loading when you boot up in windows won't get executed either.

I'm 14, but the reason why Im so apart from him is because he keeps getting drunk and smokes 2 packs per day.
Dad caught me smoking and he said NO WAY!
That hypocrite smokes 2 packs a day!
Lol had to see it coming, beastie boys FTW.
My dad tries to get into my computer, unluckily he is loving epic with computers, so i tried to password it once,
so he forgetin overwrote my xp with a new one :d
Had to reinstall EVERYTHINg, so he always knows my password now, my mom and sister and anyone else doesnt though.
He snoops about once a week, he tries to keep it secret, but usually forgets to close the history tab thinkin it will auto close when browser is closed, also, i notice that he goes to a couple of the sites with weird names. Its kinda funny, he thinks im a dumbstuff that wont erase my history... Lol

I told him just to re install windows, but his dad is batched crazy and checks the screen caps like everyday. And if he doesn't know what something is EXAMPLE: His dad sees that he has been listening to "Distorted View Daily" Podcast so he goes and listens to it. Then when he finds out what it is about (bad things) he tells my friend that he can't listen to it anymore and that apparently he is lucky he didn't get his laptop taken away forever. :c

AGG Cool story bro.

Running a browser off a livecd doesn't save any history, temporary files, cookies or anything (well it does but they're stored in the computer memory and deleted as soon as the computer is reset). The keylogger won't be able to take any screenshots or log any keys outside of windows, in fact, it won't even be able to start. Then when he wants to restore the computer back to running windows all he has to do is take the cd out of the computer.
