Author Topic: LOVE, mmofps thing. Going into alpha!  (Read 4760 times)

Look at the blog magets

http://news.quelsolaar.com/

He has put up the client for download and you can stare at the title screen!
They also have a forum there now so we can whine for alpha keys.

If you don't know what LOVE is:

It's an open world mmofps with artsy graphics and only 200 people per server, all made by a single man. The world is a procedurally generated landscape with AI controlled cities and different kinds of terrain.
You can build your own stuff as well, but only around a monolith! You can place all sorts of neat structures like walls, radio towers, power sources, and even turrets.

(I think the town in the picture was made by the engine, not by players)

> 1. When do you think you might be giving out keys?

Soon ish

> 2. How long as Love been in development officially as a MMO?

Ist not really an MMO, but a little less then 3 years

> 3. How do you think the first release (Not beta or alpha) will go?

No idea.

> 4. How much will this monthly fee be, if there is one?

The alpha will be 3 Euros, the game 10.

The only things I dont like are the graphics (Too blurry looking - Hurts my eyes) and the fact that you dont compete against other players

Only 15 USD :O!

Eskil said somewhere that you CAN compete with other players, even if they are discouraged to i bet some would just do it anyways :U

Well, after I downloaded it, it shows a black screen with a fps meter at the bottom for a bit, then the fps screen dissapeared and I just have a black screen :(
