I grew up with mario and all of that. And I'm pretty much the same age as all of you.
Heck, maybe you guys think gordon freeman is "cooler". But, I think Mario will always be the all time classic hero of the video game age.

I think it is stupid about how everyone here is running around preaching about how awesome HL is. Its not that great. Its just a game that started out being like Doom then became some thing else. HL2 has the worse ai, it became a game where you pick up objects and lob them at a group of bugs or Combine soldiers. If you want to kill stuff and travel around with some chick and make nude skins for that model then go play Duke Nukem.

Becuase it's classic. And quite frankly, It's the only game of it's kind. It was the first game of it's kind.
