Author Topic: Raise Colorset Limit (121)  (Read 434 times)

Our colorsets are fine, but sometimes I want more colors. Why not just make the colorset contain more colors? By shrinking the boxes, you can still see the colors, and have more in a small space. With 121 colors, you could have 11 rows, and 11 columns. This would give you the chance to paint with most lights, shades, transparents, and more. So, what do you think?

I'm pretty sure its 64 to save datablocks. Right now, it creates a special datablock for the spray can for every color.
But if Badspot listens to this:

Then you/we might be in luck.

Actually, it creates seven per color. Default colorset alone is 252 datablocks.

Ahaha, I thought it was 3. What's the max datablock count again?

2048.

64 colours = 6 bits to transfer. 7 could do up to 128 but would add up to a lot for larger builds...

why do you need so many colors? default colorset works just fine
