I think there should be like split-off servers for new players, sort of like a time machine except its pre-Cataclysm. Then once they reach a powerful enough level their character gets moved to a normal server where the Cataclysm HAS happened.

Sounds a lot like what Guild Wars does, but there would be a lot of places that the player never got to see.

I hope there is no official statement on that. If it's coming out in April they are going to lose players due to lack of new content. Icecrown will most likely be the last big raid content for this expansion, I can't really see them adding more since there's nothing that makes sense to add in after. 3.3 is already in the PTR, which means we can probably expect it in a few months.

Any taxis will get you across things if you aren't high enough for flight.

what if you dont have any flying mounts, you probably get them at lvl 70-85 ish, and even if you still had to get to a flight master, it still be not worth it, why would you want to pay money just to get someplace that you want to walk to?
