Is this planned at all for any future release or even possible in Torque?

Possible in Torque, but I don't see it happening.

Shame. It's really the one thing I think could dramatically increase Blockland's epicness.

It would also increase lag.
Badspot said something about sticking to vertex lighting because people are still using old computers.

Their fault. Unless something forces them to change their computers, they never will.

Or people don't have thousands of dollars to spend to be able to run smoothly with volumetric lighting on tens of thousands of bricks?

Anyone want to explain what this is?

tens of thousands of bricks?
Would it be possible to have some kind of 'render mode' where all your bricks would be fused into a solid object and all you could do is walk around and take pictures?

Anyone want to explain what this is?

I suppose that would be a good idea, but only for single player.

Instead of light just adding a gradient from the corners, it actually makes a radial light, and cannot pass through objects.

Of course.

I doubt it would happen.
He said no to something as simple as adding a GameConnection::stopSound

Well, a specific sound. But the idea was already declined with a simple "No."
