I was hoping this would help people understand why religion isn't a good thing and how they can live a happy life without believing in some magical guy who is going to save you after you die because you took the easy road. It seems that instead I pissed off a few of you off and the rest hopped on the band wagon..

First off, you said nothing to make people think that religion isn't a good thing and how they can live a happy life without it. All you said was "OMG YOU'RE WRONG, YOU'RE STUPID FOR STICKING TO OLD stuff THAT OBVIOUSLY ISN'T TRUE!"

Also stop blaming things on band wagons. It's not a band wagon, it's just that you said something that doesn't help people at all and goes against what people think. Nice job.

Look, guys, let's just drop this alright. Atheists are just as narrow minded as Christians or any other religious person at the end of the day. As Regulith said, everyone has their own beliefs and we should respect that, not try to perpetually prove each other wrong because at the end of the day we're just going to get angry at one another and probably a few bans to boot.

I'm agnostic, I don't care to question whether or not god exists. Also I would have to say that I'm not narrow minded, it's just I don't believe that any religion is correct, and how can they all be right? It's much more likely that none of them are right than one or all of them being right.

I guess asking people not to believe in god is like asking them to stop taking drugs. You may like the comfort of knowing what's happening after death and that someone is up there looking out for you, but over time religion negatively effects humanity.
