Oh my god what just happened.

Spoiler alert:
The battlefield in the centre of skaia apparently grows bigger with every prototyping. 3x3 flat -> 8x8 flat -> Huge block -> Planet. The 2 armies are amassed of people from the white and dark kingdoms all resembling certain chesspieces. They also battle using huge skyships. There are also huge chesspieces falling from the sky. We see the Warweary Villein (he lives in a can) who just wants the war to end, explaining his hate for kings. Then we see the huge Black King who has a scepter (with as orb Skaia) to prototype himself. Jack Noir/Sovereign Slayer appears in the sky. The Warweary Villein rallies both sides under his banner. At that time the Parcel Mistress arrives on the battlefield and notices that the White Queen's ring is missing. The White King gives her his sceptre and crown. The Hegemonic Brute sees this and reports through his radio. WV?'s uprising has reached the Black King, but at that moment the Sovereign Slayer arrives and cuts his scepter in two, making him small again. In the meanwhile the Hegemonic Brute attacks PM? causing here to drop the scepter which flies away on the battlefield. Then the Sovereign Slayer decapitates the Black King with his sword and takes his crown. It ends with the White King's Scepter landing in the middle of a small stream.

I don't know why I actually took the time to write that all down. The music was also pretty awesome.

Did anyone else notice there seems to be a bit of a paradox with the whole chess world thing

The chess world is inside the skaia sphere which is on the scepter which belongs to the king in the chess world which is inside the skaia sphere, etc.

Yeah I saw that too. And it's even worse since there are 2 scepters so there's 2 Skaia's in every battlefield and in every Skaia there's another battlefield.
