Heroes of Newerth is amazing. It won't be free eventually, but it's in beta atm and I've been loving it. You need to get a beta key for it though but they're easy to find. I'm sure you've heard about that though.

Soldat is a pretty good game. Been playing it for a few years now. It's side view, fast action platformer.

And of course my personal favourite is Subvein.. because I made it :)
