Alright, I don't remember if it was a cartoon or an anime, but I've been really wondering what show it was.
I don't remember any names or places of it, but I remember that the main character would be a man in the day and a woman at night. For this description, the main character will be John and the side character will be Bob.
John and Bob would meet up at a cafe, and Bob would tell John about crimes and troubles in the city, and John would go out later in the night to take care of it. Except, John would be under the disguise of a woman.
The end of the series (I presume) was John taking on a group of bad guys, as a woman, and being shot to death. The next morning, Bob was at the cafe alone, waiting for John.
The show was from around 1999/2000/2001. I don't remember the exact date.
I know this is a terrible description, but this is all I remember from it, and it's been bugging me.
