I want to figure out how to use it so I can get Garry's mod addons that are in google code.

EXAMPLE:
http://garrysmod-ls2.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

That is an SVN link.  You need an SVN client.

I like RapidSVN because it doesn't attach itself to Windows Explorer like TortoiseSVN does.

Anyone going to answer how I get this done?

I use TortoiseSVN, so it will probably be different for Rapid.

After you install the SVN client, right-click the folder that you want to update. Click "SVN Checkout" and type in the URL of the stuff's location. Click "OK," then it will begin downloading the stuff.
