Author Topic: What is the best way to make you games run smoother?  (Read 2968 times)

Is that a laptop or a desktop?

Because if its a laptop/netbook, you're stuff out of luck. Upgrading a laptop even is a lot more expensive, harder and you'll have to search every nook and cranny for laptop parts. In all it's a stupid idea.

You cant upgrade the video card on laptops with embedded video cards.
It's plainly impossible.

This too.

Not to mention nearly all laptops are built for the parts they come with only, so upgrading the parts may result in stuff like extreme overheating due to design flaws.

I'm going to cut it short: Your computer seems to be the office computer or home computer type. Moderately okay CPU, okay amount of RAM but the graphics is awful and outdated.

Wow your specs are almost the same as mine, but my RAM is bigger, my CPU is faster, my video card is LE instead of SE, and my model number is a1610n not a6109n. So I guess there is a lot different.

So you just disproved yourself at the end of your sentence?
lol

On steam games, for me it helps to go to properties, click launch options, and type -dxlevel 80.

If you had my computer your brain would boil and you immediatly look for a better computer.

Paint racing stripes on your computer.

An integrated graphics card is just a GPU attached to the motherboard directly. They tend to be weaker because they are cheap and compact. Dedicated graphics cards must be put into a slot on the motherboard, and can be removed / replaced.

I suggest you do this.

I need to get a proper stencil for that.

I have a Desktop. Ok well I want to upgrade my computer not get a new one. Do I need a video card? More RAM? Other stuff like that.

You SERIOUSLY need a new video card. Your CPU and RAM are actually okay, but in a few years or so your cpu won't be good enough, so I suggest getting a new CPU too.

I looked up your computer specs on HP's website, link to mobo specs.

You have two options: Upgrade your processor to a better AM2 dual core processor (link) and this graphics card, or upgrade to a new motherboard entirely and buy new PSU, RAM, CPU and graphics.
