I mean, I wanna change the DEFAULT programs. So it seems like the new program is my default. I'm trying to clone a different OS. So I want to make the default MS accessories into new programs to make it seem like I have that OS.

I am trying to clone a different operation system then my Windows XP

I downloaded new programs that is supposed to look like the default programs on the operation system I'm cloning

I want to know if theres a way to make the "start>all programs>accessories>[program name]" change its target<sup>1

you can add/delete stuff from the start menu just like it is a folder because thats what it is.  It's all shortcuts.  The actual exe is in your windows folder.  Just right click and delete the original shortcut and coyp/paste your new one.

Eventually, if you use the program enough, then it will add it there default. I don't know how else, you could try Google-ing it.
