Author Topic: Brick grouping tool  (Read 855 times)

A tool that when you hit a couple of bricks the bricks are grouped and it turns in to one brick but it lowers brick count.

Like the parent tool in gmod?

No. It would be too... Well I just don't like it, there.

Sort of but I meant it removes the lines on bricks and makes them one whole brick.
Also lowers brick count  :cookieMonster:

The only reason this would be necessary would be for the physics engine.

I really like the idea. Like using it to make it look like wall has a h ole right in the middle of it.

Interesting idea, I've seen this done with breaking large bricks into smaller ones, but never breaking small bricks into larger ones.

I dunno if it's possible, though it probably is. However, the simple solution is to not build spammily to begin with.

Yea, noobs who spam wouldn't even know how to use it anyways much less have downloaded it themselves.

Don't you remember /setbricksize? You were one of the first ones to try it.
But yes, this is possible, albeit datablock consuming, even when optimized.

On topic :I hope its possible it would have its own model and probably be a default
in bl v14 or 15  :cookieMonster:

Off topic :Truce I saw you at Blobeh's TDM.

I would like this if it only made 6 sided bricks, not a recta-hedron or whatever

so did i, it was fun =D

also, wouldn't this be almost impossible due to needing to create a special brick each time? you'll have to delete the bricks, then replace with a more complicated brick
