Author Topic: Dark Forces  (Read 854 times)

Anyone remember this old gem? It was originally for Windows 95, but it's now on Steam for $5. When I figured this out, I nearly flipped in pure excitement. At last, being able to play it again!
Sure, the graphics are bad, the voice quality is mediocre, but I say it kicks Halo's ass anyday.

but I say it kicks Halo's ass anyday.

Because it was based on the Doom engine technology, AND it's Star Wars.

I played the demo, it was pretty cool. They even referenced id Software's Doom cheat codes (they all started with "ID", so Dark Forces' cheat codes all started with LA for LucasArts).

Ohey Ector, i remember you. ^^

Anyway, screenshots please?

It would have been better if you didn't direct-link them, it eats up that website's bandwidth. That's why I linked mine.

EDIT: Thanks.

Nope, but you can now with the Skulltag.

No. You couldn't jump either.

In DF, you can. Pgup/pgdn I think. You can only shoot on the X-axis though. X was jump.

LAimlame

EDIT: just got DF 1 and 2 on Steam.
