Off current topic: I seem to specialize in math, any suggestions on what job field I should look into?
Maybe an accountant and or banker. They get some good dough nowadays.

It's not even 1, it's like just solving for x in x + 4 = 2, which x = -2. It's somewhat pathetic. I'm actually trying to skip a grade, but the 8th Grade algebra in my school is somewhat the same thing :(

We haven't even gone over percentages and probabilities in my schooltime ever. I'd rather be home-schooled and teach myself or at least go to a better school.

Wow. Struggling with that?

My favorite is the kind that's just so hard its fun.

Like, say...

-7z + 2z - 3z -7 = 17

That isn't too hard, but fun just the same.
Solve for z. NO CALCULATORS. That'd ruin the fun!

whars x in this prob i see no x? D:

-7z + 2z - 3z -7 = 17

If z=x
Then x = -3

Edit: to fix silly mistake.

If z=x
Then x = 3

Sorry, I'll change.
I always use x, so it's like a habit for me.

No, you are wrong. Not three, negative three.
But you were close. I always make that mistake, too.

Wow. Struggling with that?!
My class is handicapped, but there's a few other bright ones in there, but they occasionally misunderstand very simple things. I hate it when I say its easy and they throw the old excuse "WELL MAYBE 4 U" at me. It's simple stuff we've actually learned before, how do they not know it? I mean it might be a little difficult, but them sitting there with only one, maybe two problems done, when I've finished all that and our home work and have 35 minutes left in the period is ridiculous

-7z + 2z - 3z -7 = 17

That isn't too hard, but fun just the same.

x isn't a variable in that problem :o and it's -3

Dammit Doorman, beat me to it :(

Yes, I knew it was negative three, but I forgot to type the dash in front. Silly me.

Didn't see this:

Yeah, I'm glad they teach that at my school, I'll look into it.

Yep. Fun though, isn't it.

63x - 9 = 16 + 63x

That is confusing if you don't know what to do.

QFT.

Pre-Algebra is hard for me because our teacher does nothing in the means of making sure we understand it.

Gimme the confusion, I'll help you.

-8z-7=17
-8z=10

z= -1.25

z=-3
Damn, forgot to do the opposite of 7.

-8z-7=17
-8z=10

z= -1.25

Damn, forgot to do the opposite.

No, you must use additive inverse.
Since you are subtracting seven, you must add to make it zero.
Get it?

EDIT: Never mind. How did you wind up with 8?
EDITEDIT: Never mind, you changed it again. >:(

I already get it, I said that it was a slight/major stupid mistake that I did.

Gimme the confusion, I'll help you.

I say it's the same as n > 60

It's ze same.
