I'm not very much into the game myself but I saw this and it caught my eye. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/103/1039324p1.html
Your thoughts?

I think that the PC version has been forgeted up too much for it to even be worth trying.

What?

Well apparently you haven't heard that the PC version will NOT be supporting dedicated servers, which means that PC players will have to use the same crappy system as console players (player with the fastest connection in the game hosts it, meaning UNACCEPTABLE lag). The PC version has also been limited from 64 players per game (COD4) down to a pathetic 16 players per game. Support for MODs has been scrapped from the PC version as well. Overall it will be fail because PC players DO NOT WANT a matchmaking system which sucks compared to servers.

Oh. Buy the console version then

I already have a great PC FOR GAMES. Why would i waste money on a console? Also there would be no point is buying it for the console, it would fail just as much.

Your right. Atleast my brother is wasting his money on this. Not me

So, you would rather have worse contro, because of online play?  You're loving handicapped, and so is everyone saying the same thing.

I just greatly prefer using a system of servers because it allows much more freedom then a matchmaking system, they allow for custom rules, mods, greater max players, non-laggy gameplay, and a place to hang out with regulars and clan members. All that has been killed in MW2, which completely degrades the online community and standards that PC players expect from a multiplayer game.

I agree with this, I'm most likely just going to rent it.

In other words, it allows more reasons to be randomly banned, long downloads, more chaos, random kicks for ping, and a place to listen to people scream "bullstuff" after every kill.  Nice!

1. Being randomly banned depends on the server, if you get banned/kicked look at the reason for which you were kicked/banned and LEARN from your mistake or FIND A BETTER SERVER.
2. Long downloads? If you play mods for COD4, normal people would download them from the internet, not the server. Most players play on unmodified COD4 servers that don't require and downloading.(map load time on PC is also a fraction of the time it takes on consoles) Other games that actually do require you to download things only make you do it once most of the time assuming you continue going to that server, then you stay in the server for hours assuming you find a good server, if its a bad server LEAVE AND FIND A BETTER SERVER AND BOOKMARK IT.
3. Kicking people for pings that are too high makes it better for everyone. It prevents laggy people from having an advantage/disadvantage compared to the people whose ping's are within reasonable limits. If you get kicked for high ping find out why your lagging or FIND A LESS LAGGY SERVER.
4. Most servers don't actually have 64 people in them at once because yes, most people don't like that, but for those who actually enjoy playing like that AT LEAST THERE IS THE OPTION TO.
5. In my experience as long as you stick to good servers with admins or servers without voice chat enabled, people are much less likely to spam the mic with obscenities, if they do they get kicked. You could also disable voice chat output so you don't hear anything people say , which is a simple alternative to having to listen to 5 year olds scream into their mics.

I'm pretty sure that you wont be able to rent it for PC because its being integrated with STEAM

It's impossible to rent PC games, I'm going to rent it for 360.

1. Yes.
2. Then what's the point in modding, why do you want it?
3. Yep, because it's easy to find a server with a ping under 99 or whatever.
4. Alright.
5. There you go!  There's your solution to that.

This might be a handicapped question. But can't the developers of MW2 make several dedicated servers?
