The supreme court says research being illegal is constitutional.
If it's in the interests of the state, then it's constitutional. Or in the US' case, if it's in the interest of the companies and commercial groups, then it's constitutional.
Does this mean no more Loli and extremely violent videos/games?!? D:
They've already arrested a few individuals for acquiring lolicon books. Basically they arrested people for buying drawings, never mind the fact that they could have used the resources and police personnel/time to stop something that's actually destroying lives like the Drug traffickers or child research distributors. Isn't that cute? Oh yeah and it probably causes the child enthusiasts to NOT seek help if they ever need it out of the fear of being ostracized in the middle of this witch hunt, which inadvertently leads to actual child abuse and rapings and such. You can tell the court put allot of thought into this. I'd actually like to know how many professional psychologists they consult before pressing a decision based on a mental condition, if any.
As for banning violent games, I can't see that happening. The US depends on violent games to desensitize candidates for the army.
