Am I the only one that's forced into classes that I'm not capable of doing?

For instance, last year, I did well in most of my class, with the exception of Biology, where the teacher turned it into Philosophy at the start of the 2nd semester. My English class was great, and my History class too. There were two different English teachers. One was strict, and demanded a lot from the students. I had the other one, who was laid back during lecture, but strict when it was necessary for us to work.

At the end of the year, our English teacher breaks the news to us that the only teacher for Adv English 2 would be the strict teacher. I didn't think much of it, but from the stories I had heard of her class, I did not want to go into it. I asked my mother if I could refrain from taking the course, but she demanded I take it. Her reason being is because she hopes by the time I'm in 12th grade, that I'll want to work as a brain surgeon, or something of that level.

So, 10th grade starts, and as I expected, the work is batstuff crazy. She gives us a list of books we'd be reading throughout the year, and tells us to go out and buy them early. I do this, and I read through the first book. It was an okay book, but really not my taste. It was about the British missionaries spreading their bullstuff to the Africans, back in the 1600s or so. Our assignment with it was to annotate the book, with a minimum of 40 notes. I do this, and manage to get 100% for it.

The second book comes around, and again, it's about the same damned thing: Africa. I start to read it, and I lose all interest in it. And since I'm a lazy procrastinator, the time the essay comes around (now), I'm absolutely lost, and don't know what to do.

I knew from the start I wouldn't be capable of this kind of work. Not only is it that class, but I've got an AP class to take aswell.

And yeah, I know, it's mostly my fault for being such a stuffty student. My point wasn't that I'm a stuffty student, but that I absolutely hate being forced into a class I knew I would not be able to handle. I know my mother has good intentions, but it's so god damned overbearing.

Don't touch me you dirty Mexican.

I'm not Mexican

I just took three years of Spanish

Bullstuff. You're trying to break into my car, aren't you?

They're forcing me to take a Ojibwe culture appreciation class at my campus, but since I've been able to play with sidewalk chalk and construction paper, I've been able to live through it.

Public speaking, which is actually a drama class.

Same. It was either that, theater, or dancing.

I need to take English 101 and Calculus to transfer. My Calculus teacher admittedly teaches at a level far above our capabilities on the hope that we will understand it better when we get to the high levels and my english teacher... well I cant really say he is unfair, I am just a lazy forget and have a huge essay due last thursday that I will need to do tomorrow morning somehow before my art history class.

Agricultural Science.
Okay, this class is seriously ass. First, I'm not gonna use any of this stuff, and all we EVER DO is take notes that the teacher puts up on the projector. That's the whole class, a waste of paper and time...

And I HAVE to take this class, once you're in it, you gotta do it all four years/however many years you're there.
The school also randomly selected my schedule, when I clearly said I DIDN'T WANT THIS CLASS.

Your mother doesn't give a stuff whether you're happy or not. She just wants to be able to say her son has some prestigious career.

I'm not too fond of this mechanical statics class I have to take. forget bridges.
