Author Topic: Why do the HEV Suit and the Pip-Boy have weapons systems?  (Read 1336 times)

Neither of them were made for killing stuff. Why do they have them?

Why does the HEV Suit have any HUD whatsoever? The only logical solution i could see for there to be a HUD for it would be if there was some sort of projector or if he had a helmet, but even then, depth of field would make it all blurry and hurt your eyes to focus on it.

What? Don't call me dumb if your sentences are cluttered.

A simple answer, because it is a video game. Also the HEV suit could have a projector coming from the neck area.

Or it could be from the chest, like Dead Space. :D

The part where the Lambda symbol is seems to pop out enough.

Did you know that in Half-Life 2, Gordon shrinks in relation to half-life 1? :D I checked it out with the effects in gmod.
Now, of course, the HL2 version is much more accurate.

He's not calling you dumb, he's calling himself dumb.  It's a Facepunch rating reference.

Who do you think rated him?  :cookieMonster:

The flashlight is mounted on the chest.

In thirdperson (for the HL2DM Models), it's mounted on the hand. :cookieMonster:

As cool as the health bar in that game is, it's not very practical if it were real.

The HEV suit has a weapons and ammunition handling module built in, it probably links to Gordon's spectacles, since he's actually supposed to be wearing a helmet with the suit. The Pip-Boy also caters for pretty much anything you might come across in your life in the vault!

In the original Counter-Strike, the hostages are giants. Couldn't they have broken free by themselves?
