Counter Strike: Source or Portal? [*Decission Made*] - L4D2 + CS:S

Hey.  My birthday is coming up soon and my parents are letting me choose 2 games.  I've decided to get l4d2 when it comes out.  I've heard good things abouy both Counter Strike and Portal.  What one should I get?

If there is a different game I should get, please post what game!

portal, great fun, but its one of those one-time play games, but thats just me. then you can download portal:prelude for free, which I thought was rip-your-hair-out hard.

CSS, imo because Portal is an offline game which once you finish, you will get bored of. For CSS, it's multiplayer and you can play with other players and there are different game modes.

Just get the Orange Box and the CSS+Gmod pack. You can give your extra tf2 copy to someone.
Or save $100 and get the valve complete pack like I did in the first place :D

Get CSS, Portal takes about 4 hours to finish then gets boring fast.
For CSS it took me 7 months for it to get boring. :)
