Author Topic: Removing Paint Textures [Mission Edtior]?  (Read 2818 times)

A map that I am working on contains multiple textures that just take up space and I want to remove them (this is how the map came, I didn't add them). Apparently there is no REMOVE button, so I am not really sure what to do.

DFE_dark_brown_dirt01/04 and sand are the excess textures I want removed. Does anyone know how would I go about removing them?

I am doing this because I assume this is one reason why it contains multiple texture console errors. If I can remove the excess textures, I can just change the location of the other two textures that are located inside the add-on file (if I am wrong about this, I would be grateful if someone could tell me the actual reason).

Don't port maps unless you know how to.

Don't port maps unless you know how to.

I don't port maps and this has nothing to do with me porting maps, if this map is a port or not I do not know. All I want to know is if removing textures is possible or not.

My main objective here is to fix these texture console errors. I have an alternative if nothing else works, however it is a last resort.

Bump. I also need help here.

Switch texture to "NONE"?

Modified Dogfight Canyon much? :P

I would try just deleting the texture (Make a back-up incase I'm wrong). Hopefully if BL can't find it, it will just not have anything there.

You have to remove the textures on the other tab.
Under the terrain mapping thing.

Ill screen-shot on how to do this tomorrow.

Switch texture to "NONE"?
There is no "NONE" texture/option that I could find. If there was a "NONE" texture I would need to duplicate it a few times because you cannot use the same texture twice (as I've tried).

The textures don't exist in the add-on (or anywhere in my Blockland files for that matter), therefore I cannot delete them. Because they don't exist, it gives console errors which I want to get rid of.

The screenshot would be most helpful, as I could not find a terrain mapping thing. :D

For a temp fix, just load bull**** textures as fillers.

I did it for you.

No need to thank me.

Go back to /b/ and stay there

Open the terrain texture editor (F8), select the material you want to remove, and click the delete button.

None of the textures are there. They are only appearing in the GUI I have posted up there.

Change them to another texture and then delete?
