Author Topic: TF2 Port forwarding Help.  (Read 2568 times)

I've been trying to portforward for TF2 lately.  Supertoxic told me to portforward to 27015; that didn't work.
So then I googled it. (lol)  On some Valve blog, someone said to portforward:
27000-27020 (tcp/udp)
27020-27050(tcp/udp)
27015(tcp/udp)
That didn't work either.
Yes, my firewall is letting tf2 by.

Any help?

I'm sorry but I would be no help, I don't understand portforwarding half the time.

Also, I succesfuly port forwarded for Blockland, so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Double post:  Is there a console command I need to put in?

Works fine for me with just 27015.

Make sure sv_lan is set to 0?

Open console
Type sv_lan 0
Press enter

It's says invalid command :o

Hmm.
Haven't hosted a server in TF2 for months, so they may have changed it.

I'll get on and see, will edit this post when I do.

Works fine for me

Now it says Unable to Connect.

Single port forward UDP 27015 and type sv_lan 0  into the console.

Single port forward UDP 27015 and type sv_lan 0  into the console.
That's pretty much what I already said.

But yeah, if that doesn't work, I don't know.

Single port forward UDP 27015 and type sv_lan 0  into the console.

Alright.  Also, is there a space between the 0 and
lan?

Make sure you've got the ports forwarded correctly, then start a server.
Open the console, Type sv_lan 0 then ip <youriphrere*> then sv_pure 1 and lastly changelevel <levelname> so sv_pure 1 can take effect.
