There's a small amount of silly putty on the side of my mouse, I tried picking it off with my hands, but that didn't work. I tried getting the big glob and picking it up with it.

I have no idea how it got there, but it's bugging the hell out of me. plzhelp

I once had a massive container of silly putty.
That stuff was inpenetrable. We wanted to try shooting it with a gun however it went missing... It's like it had a mind of it's own and ran off before getting shot.

Try putting your mouse in a heated room and then pick it off.

If you have a Remote Control for you TV. (It'd be sad if you don't). And the buttons are made of this weird rubbery stuff. Check to see if you mouse buttons are made of that. If they are, don't get out the big glob. it'll stick more.

Anyway, try rubbing it off with a hot/cold soaked rag. Then try pulling it off with one of 'em.
