Author Topic: Water on the Moon!  (Read 2825 times)

you idiots all miss the point.
oxygen to breathe, and rocket fuel can both be made from water.
= a more useful moonbase

could do a hell of a lot more space exploration if you don't gotta revisit earth so often for these basic things.

where you all got the idea that they are trying to create a earth like atmosphere on the moon is just bullstuff.
try thinking more science, and less stupid

forget. That means it's not good cheese f it's been watered down :(

Holy crap ice, that's so...why is that important?

If we wanted to live there: Bring water
If we wanted to grow things there: No soil silly

L2science

Water is heavy, they're not bringing much water into space.

If there's water on the moon, you can make oxygen, and fuel. Fuel = Moon becomes a stepping stone to reach the other planets.

Yes!
I better go pack my bags./sarcasm

If there's water on the moon, you can make oxygen, and fuel. Fuel = Moon becomes a stepping stone to reach the other planets. Since when can you make oxygen from water? If you are talking about the oxygen that we breathe, that is actually 2 oxygen atoms joined together. water only has 1.

lern2science? i think not, noU

clearly it takes more parts water to make less parts oxygen.
not all chemistry is equal exchange

plus making oxygen isn't exactly new science...

Electrolysis splits water into hydrogen and oxygen. It's middle school science.

Why would you criticize NASA, you have no loving idea how they do what they do and why.

"LOL WHY THE forget WUD U CRASS A ROCKIT SHIP INTU MONE"

Both us and the soviets have been doing this since the 60's.

sir, what did i just say? TWO oxygens is what we breathe. And take this fact and whatever bisjac said and make whatever conclusion you want

i bet you failed 7th grade science, because you've clearly got no idea what the forget you're saying

H20 + H20 is the same as H4 + 02

H4 and 02 are two completely different things than 2H20. Hydrogen can also only bond to itself once, because it has one valence electron. Furthermore, both Hydrogen and Oxygen are diatomic molecules, meaning they bond to themselves more often than not.

Now, 2H20 = 2H2+O2 works.

Learn things before you tell people to learn things.

i'm in chemistry this year, and we're doing that, and i suck richard at it. totally burned me there, man.

I can only assume that's sarcasm.

I can only assume that's sarcasm.
it wasn't ._.

i really am just learning it in chemistry, and it's evident i'm not understanding it.
