There is no rule against this. No gaurantee that this won't happen to a message. The reason you use the PM system is to keep random mssages directed to one person off the rest of the forums. If one of those two decides to release it to the forums, they can.

No, but it doesn't mean you can't.

It's actually a personal message, not a private one. Anyway, we have no rules or regulations reguarding personal messages being posted, unless it includes stuff we could use to attack people(Phone numbers, passwords on other sites, ect.). This one contains nothing beyond a stupid question, and as such there is no harm done beyond exposure of a dumb question that makes the writer look clueless for ten seconds before everyone forgets his name again.
