Making the assumption that there is an afterlife devalues the real life.

In what way?

You sir, are ironical

See above.

You really believe heaven exists?
the kid went to South America for church, of course he does

You really believe heaven exists?

And this is where I stop reading this topic because I don't feel like arguing my ideas and beliefs with you or anyone else and just getting angry and frustrated because doing so will accomplish nothing.

Have fun guys.

Just because life doesn't inherently have a point does not mean you cannot create one. I see the point of life being to ensure life continues. Not just human life, but all life. It's a wonder what has happened on this planet, and we should do our best to keep it for as long as possible.

That's a great point, I never thought of it that way.

I suppose not believing in any religion would make me an Atheist. Thing is, I like in Catholic USA where admitting such a thing would be frowned upon.

When the monday did I mention angels? I usually don't do this but I will make an exception for you, you are handicapped.

And BTW you are 14, what education? Junior High Diploma?

I don't need to be loving college educated to have my own thoughts.

FORTY-TWO

Anyone read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

BTW, the question to the answer of life is "What do you get if you multiply six by seven?"

Deja-vu?

EDIT:
Who gave a stuff about this post and read it and found themselves enlightened?

In what way?

Life matters a lot less because you know you just need to do a few things to please God and you'll live forever in a paradise. If good people go to heaven after they die, why does it matter if they die? It's a part of God's plan, isn't it?

Making the assumption that there is an afterlife devalues the real life.
it forces people to slave themselves to one particular set of beliefs and leads to close-mindedness. It is best if you just are polite and nice and whatnot just for the hell of it.

Meaning of life:  love everything.

There is also the moral question about whether or not being good for a reward is actually being good.

Everyone is close-minded, you believe what you wanna believe and exclude the rest, and if you decide you want to be open-minded and change your belief you are changing your belief for the sake of being open-mined and excluding anything else, no one can really be open-minded.

Well, it is a good point, but who said that every person who believes in afterlife gives up because of what you said?  I believe in God/heaven, and I don't believe that I can just give up after doing a few things well.

Hey, why not bring proof?  A testimonial will do, find me a few people who do what you say.
