For some reason, it seems that many people have been taking grammar highly recently. I don't know why it happened all of a sudden, but could somone enlighten me? I see everyone being corrected when the misspell a word or use 'ur' instear of your. I've been here since V9, and I haven't noticed this going on until the past few months.

Edit: I really don't think it was such a good idea to create a drama thread on why there are grammar national socialists out there. Yes many people on Blockland don't know what grammar is. But nonetheless I think we should ignore it. Sometimes I'll come across somebody in a server who'll spout off, "Y aer u bein such a noob!?!" or "hai cigarette0la i wanted teh wepz!" And I'll occassionally correct them, but not so often.

I just find it dumb when someone will write a long meaningful post and then someone quotes it, bolds one word, and then says something handicapped like "I didn't know you could _____ a _____!" Kind of just proves everyone is looking for something to bash someone on more than carry on any form of conversation.

It drives me crazy when people use ur instead of your, or u instead of you. It just makes no sense how you have a full easy to use keyboard right in front of you, yet you decide to purposely leave out two loving letters.

It's always been around, but I have to admit some members are doing it a little more often now, not to mention newer ones who like to do it.  I don't mind those "noob translations", but correcting someone over "you're" or "your" is really loving annoying.

I can understand people not wanting to correct their grammar. It can be time consuming depending on the length of the post and the person's experience in typing. I always attempt to make my posts flawless, because I go batstuff whenever I find a typo in my own work or anything meant to be official.

It's just easier to understand what you are saying.
