But first, Xbox live is only $35 if you buy the card from Amazon, so its not that expensive at all.

Is that for 3 months or the full year? If it's the three months, you are so getting ripped off.

off topic: i think people say that ps3 has HD grapics but thats pretty much your TV thats HD. probably the games you put in are made HD.

But, I did get something out of your post.
It's true. Most of the high end graphic games are for the powerful consoles.

The PS3 may be more powerful in terms of cpu/gpu w/e the forget.
But with games that are released on both systems. It's only as strong as it's weakest link. (The 360)
Most game companies make one build with certain graphics that can run on both.
I know that when i used to beta test at Point of View, they used the same build on UT3 engine for both the 360 and ps3 release.

With games that are both on the PS3 and Xbox360, they have the same graphics.

But, with games released on that system only.. Like MGS4 have outstanding graphics.

My opinion is, get the system that can play the games you want to play.
If there are more games that you want to play on the ps3. Then buy the ps3.
Etc.

The game developers are the ones that have to worry about which system is faster, whose hardware is better and what that means for the games they develop, but to us, the end users, whether the Xbox 360 has a faster GPU or the PlayStation 3’s CPU is the best thing since sliced bread doesn’t really matter.  At the end of the day, it is the games and the overall experience that will sell both of these consoles.  You can have the best hardware in the world, but if the games and the experience aren’t there, it doesn’t really matter.  

Also, on a side note. I own both. And i personally think the ps3 and 360 suck for their own reasons.

I prefer PC gaming.

Here are my reasons to why the 360 fails.
1. Xbox Live
2. Pay for every little tidbit of stuff, Avatars, backgrounds..
3. Restricted play back of content, File formats and other issues.
4. No built in wireless card, for the love of god.

Here are my reasons to why the ps3 fails.
1. The servers hosted by the individual companies suck
2. The user interface is dreadfully horrible
3. There isn't a variety of games (Compared to 360)

This whole "Flame war" between consoles is immature and down right stupid.
Who gives a rat's ass if you think the PS3 is better or the 360 is better.
At the end of the day, it's a game console.
I SPENT MORE MONEY, AND I OWN IT. IT MUST BE BETTER.

If you have a good computer, IE capable of running recent games get a PS3. Plenty of Xbox 360 titles are better on the 360, and some of the ps3 exclusives are better aka LBP

Wired connections are faster and you don't NEED the wireless adapter to play online on the 360.

Wired connections really don't show to be different for me. I have one cause I have the piece of crap 20GB

xbox:
1. It's not that expensive, and it runs smoothly.
2. Ignore it. As you said it's the game experience that matters.
3. Yes this does bother me, but that's why I don't sell my old consoles.
4. Wired connections are always better.

PS3:
1. It actually depends on which company is hosting. Someone like Blizzard (I know they don't make games for PS3, stfu) would be able to host an amazing server. But a company like wibbleGslice32 (made up name) that no one knows about is probably poor and cannot host that great of a server.
2. I don't know from experience, but if it's anything like the PSP I don't see much of a problem.
3. I cannot agree or disagree because I do not know.

2. I disagree. Just what's wrong with it?
3. I also disagree here. There is quite a large variety in games for the PS3, especially compared to the 360.

With that said I still agree with the fact that PC is pretty well better then the whole lot. Huge as forget game library, tons of modding capabilities and the ability to upgrade quite easily.
