I know that the game came out just today, yet there isn't a reply-able topic discussing if the game is worth the price tag. So thoughts or opinions on the game? Feel free to contribute.

I'm interested in the game but I wasn't a big fan of the first one simply due to the many many times I was killed by falling off a dock mid kill to die and restart a mission. I hear you can actually swim in this game, so that is the main reason I'm considering getting it. But I want to be sure.

for a console game, i would want to know it has craploads of xtra (non linear from main story) content;
unlocks
multiplayer options
plenty of achievements that i would actually take the time on a single player game to unlock
time taking customizations to earn
replay value

if not, then gamefly it for the weekend its worth.
dont spend 50-60 bucks on games that lack that stuff

It has free roam.

That's why i'm getting it, just because you can free roam and do missions whenever.

It has over 200 missions... I definitely am going to buy this baby

Friday or thursday

For all of you guys who want free roam... heres a tip:

Damn the music sound good.
But I guess I'm a wuss If this song makes me feel like crying?

I bought it yesterday.

Things added since the first that I saw:
- Money is acquirable from looting and such
- There are several shops around, such as blacksmiths, tailors and art merchants
- These shops add the ability to upgrade and customize your armor, dye your clothing, and get various weapons for different loadouts
- Health doesn't regenerate from nothing to full by itself anymore, only one square will ever regenerate as far as I know. Doctors are there to heal you.
- They seemed to have added some side missions that you don't necessarily need to do for the main quest. These are beat ups, races, and courier.
- There is achievements, and I believe they are acquired from various feats, such as diving off a huge building, as well as through missions.

The story line is great and progresses nicely compared to the first. The combat got some upgrades as well, you can grab people and slit their throats for example.

OK, yet another game I didn't know was being released. I obviously don't pay attention to this stuff anymore. I got the first one two years ago for my birthday, and although it got a bit repetitive and odd, I enjoyed the experience. If it's an improvement over the first I will definitely pick it up, but awhile away as a used copy or something. I will probably not play it now so why pay full price?

Good point, I think I'll wait for a reduced price as the used games I bought were well taken care of.

I pre-ordered and got a new map.

You're born in the first scene of the game. Mommy was screaming to loud. :c

This game looks good, but I have Modern Warfare 2 and Dragon Age: Origins, so I might get AssCreed 2 for the holidays.
