Author Topic: Auto-pilot script.  (Read 1051 times)

Someone should or could make an auto-pilot system for planes. Like while I'm flying, I press this keybind and the plane will go in the same direction and speed as it is going and I can freely type. I press the keybind again to go to manual control.

P.S. I know people say I can just hold W to hell or put tape on it or something but I don't want to risk breaking my own keyboard.

Hm. This is possible. But maybe it could sence walls and is would automatically turn.

Quark has tried this using waypoints, but he said it wasn't useful and a bit pointless. Also, it is abusive.

Abusive?

Theory get: Make is constantly fire 5 raycasts in 5 directions, all forwards, but 4 are off to the sides. They have short range, and the center one reacts to other planes(?) by firs off to the sideing a machine gun. Raycasts offset to the sides automatically turn the player.

I voted maybe... But then I thought about it, I change my vote to yes, It would be helpful for talking while flying the plane

Real autopilot systems do not have this. I don't think it's possible either, since .difs and .dts's are just static objects.

This script would be possible.

I like this idea.

I hate this idea.

Wouldn't this just be an autowalk function while in a plane?

maybe....but some of us are too lazy to learn dozens of console CMD's.   :cookieMonster:

I said autowalk script, not the use of console commands.

However, this can pretty much be done in one console command.

And where is this autowalk script you speak of?
