Do you mean Blockland 1.0 as "v3"? The body parts there are the same as they are now. There was a closed beta test for certain people between v0002 and Blockland 1.0 which included solid arms/legs but it looked too similar to a Lego mini-figure and was changed to avoid copyright clashes.

Maybe the shadows would make lag but bricks just stopping the bricks light would be more realstic for dark maps.
