And Half-life 2 and episodes 1-2

I'm tired of people knowing two months in advance what they'll be getting for Christmas. The whole point is that you are not supposed to know. Why behave, why be nice if you already know you're getting what you want? My kids won't be spoiled that way. They will live in fear of obtaining junk for Christmas if they don't act properly. And if they act out on that, then no Christmas for them period.

Secondly, it's only 2-3 days from Thanksgiving, I don't think anyone really cares anymore if they're plugged with Christmas advertising. It's been going on all month as it is. I'm tired of complaining about it because it won't change.
Some people get cash it rather then the item itself. And even if people know what their going to get remember it's the parents discussion to actually give them what they want.

I'm sure my grandpa and Nana will send me best buy gift cards for like 50$ they do pretty much every Christmas. :D

Rughugger, I get what you mean about earning presents, but why can't kids earn what they want?  I always make a huge ass list every year of things I want, of course I'm not getting it all, but my dad picks from the list, so it's still a surprise(And yes, I have to earn it).

That's just me, but still, parents can't read minds, they need some input on what children want, and the children must earn them.

I didn't change anything you idiot. I'm 28. 10 years ago from today I was 18.

Well that's my basic point and I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm not saying they can't have what they want if they've earned it. But frankly, there are a lot of kids who know for sure what they're getting and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. That makes the whole thing pointless. It's supposed to be a mystery. That's what makes Christmas morning so exciting. If they know what they're getting, what's the point of even wrapping them at all let alone making them wait until Christmas to get it? Just absolute nonsense. That's the problem I have with it.

No, your point is that everyone in the generation after yours is a complete cunt and therefore doesn't deserve anything.

I agree with the part about already knowing about their presents; they should be suprised. The rest is bull.

If that's how you want to read it. There were plenty of dipstuffs in my generation, but the way we handled it was a lot different and you know it.
