Author Topic: Man hacks.  (Read 599 times)

You know, the things that buzz around and hack you with there blades.

I'd want it too if I didn't think it would be glitchy as forget.

You'd have to make a bot driving a flying vehicle, which would require a Space Guy.

isn't it all one word?

you know, manhack?

What if you didn't make a bot driving a vehicle, but a bot that chases players at a slow pace, and has a slow moving-up-and-down animation, and an invisible lower half? Sorry for all the "and"s.

i have a similar idea, i call it a 'skipper'

basically, it's a little manhack-like thing with the blade vertical rather then horizontal- it's essentially a small playertype with no air movement and does damage on-touch. every time it hits the ground, or "skips", it bounces into the air toward the nearest player spinning it's blade wildly until it hits the ground again, where it repeats the process until it finally cuts something to ribbons

maybe it could even come from a gun

Do want.

I'm a bit shaky on this. I don't think it would work. Also:

"We have confirmed reports of Manhacks! Repeat, they are filling the underground with Manhacks!"

I'd want it too if I didn't think it would be glitchy as forget.

It's possible to change a player type's jet emitter. Make that the propeller movement with something like Muffinmix's turning emitters, make the light spot the same place and add a red light, then have it permanently jetting but moving towards people occasionally.

it should actually do something like autojets: try to maintain a set height (where the player is) and slowly edge toward it

i could totally make the model and particles if you're ready to do everythin' else, space

Well, I haven't played any of the Half Life series so I'm probably not the best person to do this.
