I got 45 coins for leaving my shrine idle for 7 hours, works out nicely but it will piss you off if someone takes it after wards and gets all of the coins.  I also am annoyed at seeing at least 4 shrines buried in land or underground that are impossible to reach, I don't think you should have the ability to move captured shrines really..
