Author Topic: 60GB or 120GB?  (Read 1167 times)

So I've decided on an xbox 360 (if you saw my topic on that) because more of my friends have one so I can play online with them.

Only one question though:
My mom is making a deal with me.  She'll either get me the 60GB with the wireless adapter, or the 120GB and I buy the adapter myself.

So is there any real advantage that the 120 holds over the 60?  Most of my friends tell me they've hardly used more that 20GB on their drives.

True statement.
Get 60GB but don't get adapter. It sucks. Just get an ethernet cable. But, if you must, get the XBOX 360 Wireless N adapter.

120GB = more space  :cookieMonster:

I'm not going to run a loving ethernet cable from the 2nd story of my house to the opposite side on the first floor.  It's like 200 feet.

If my DSi picks up a strong wireless signal in my room, I'm assuming that a 70$ adapter will pick one up, too.

'Cause you can always buy new Hard drives, and a 360 memory stick to transferr data between the 2.

I use 200gb with just games and stuff... and another 100 with movies and photos and stuff... but I still have 1 TB so I use about a 3rd of it.

They have a 1TB 360? ._.

No.

I think you can hook up external hard drives through the USB slots though.

Oh sweet.
In that case I might as well get the 60, because I'm getting a 100GB external harddrive either for christmas or buying one myself if I don't.

This.

I have a 60GB and I'm perfect with it. If you just delete some of the useless crap and game trials already on there, you can scrape up maybe 2GB.

So I can stick my 1TB external HDD to Xbox?

I'm not going to act like I understand what I'm talking about, so I'll just make an educated guess: the 60GB 360 w/ adapter is the better deal.
Am I close?

From what I've read so far it's the better deal.

Yes, if you have your Xbox in middle of nowhere and you don't want ugly wires.
Mine is behind the monitor, so I don't even see it when I play games, so I'm fine with cable. :D

Same, basically.
