Author Topic: Duck's New PC Thread  (Read 14737 times)

I'm finally getting a new PC.  My current PC is a Pentium 4 3.2GHz with a Geforce 7600 GT.  Talk about suck.

This is the new one I'm getting,
going to build it.

I GOT IT YESTERDAY!

It is nice. I am also getting a new PC for Christmas. Read my signature for more information.

Also the one I have now sucks more than the one you have atm.

One more thing to say! Why only a 300gb Harddrive?

Mine probably sucks more than yours. So wait, is a sound card essential for gaming?

Are you sure? What are you specifications?

Motherboard: If you're not planning on having more than one GPU, look for a different one.

Hard Drive: No. 300 GB + 10,000 RPM is just...no. You can get a Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 1.5 TB HDD for less.

GPU: XFX, no. nonono. Get an EVGA nVidia card (not sure if EVGA does ATi, but XFX is baaaad.)

Sound Card: Are you seriously gonna use this? Why not just use the integrated sound card on the motherboard?

Remember, this is just my opinion on this stuff.

I have this. I suggest it.

Another opinion -
Unless you plan to overclock, the stock heatsink should be fine

Edit:

You shouldn't need a graphics card as powerful as that, just another opinion

I do too, that's why I recommended it to him. Cept, mine takes like 10 seconds to spin up (not sure if this happens with all of them).

wat

It's powerful for a reason.

"HEY GUYS NO HIGH END GAMER NEEDS HIGH END GAMING GPUS"

Yeah, but what the hell is he going to use it for? He could run SLi or CF for cheaper.

Are you sure? What are you specifications?
Integrated Graphics card(Can barely run counter-strike and HL2, less than 8 or 10 fps).
Integrated sound card(can't record sound from it).
Intel Pentuim 4 3.0 GHz

Yeah, but what the hell is he going to use it for? He could run SLi or CF for cheaper.
I think it's good, the more better, the more "lasting".

Integrated sound card(can't record sound from it).
My sound card's integrated, and I can record sound from it, using Stereo Out Mix...
Then again, I do have some Dolby Home Theater (IDT) integrated sound chip.

I think it's good, the more better, the more "lasting".

Urrr.. wat

That is a great graphics card, jus' saying he could run SLi or CF cheaper and probably better
