How dare this word be added to dictionaries. It's a pain to hear. Contractions combine words while removing a letter. For example, "has not" becomes "hasn't." It it clearly "has" and "not" combined with the "o" replaced with an apostrophe. What does "ain't" mean in a technical standpoint?
It is a "word" that is used in place of "am not", "is not", "are not", "has not", or "have not." This does not make sense.

That's because Romance laguages are actually well-thought-out.

Happens a lot in Spanish. Hablo can mean I talk or he talked, he talked has an accent over it but when speaking you would have to use "el" to let them know, or the context. Same with all the question words they all have lots of meanings. Como means "like" or "how" or "what." Que means "what" or "that" or "as." -ir verbs are the same for past or present in the nosotros form. Spanish has like 18 words for pig, they tend to have 5+ words for one English word. Most Spanish people I know say English is easier because there is far less rules, in Spanish if you make one little mistake because of their strict grammar rules, no one knows wth you said.

The only time I use ain't is occasionally when I say, "No it ain't" but I usually always say, "No it isn't" or, "No it is not" It usually happens when I'm angry or frustrated since I live in the country. It's kind of like a crude backup mechanism for inability to fill out my sentences entirely when I can't think straight.
