Try importing it to Milkshape then export it as a .dif. Milkshape is good for that sort of thing, and btw if it does work dont be surprised if your model is really small or really big because it can vary a lot between porgrams.
Milkshape can't export to .dif.

You probably shouldn't have to do anything more than use map2dif if you're exporting to .map, are you using the version of hammer that comes with the source SDK? You shouldn't, the old, original Half-Life version of Hammer is the one you want.

Milkshape can export it to the Torque file then Torque can export it to .dif from there.

With Hammer, make the map and save as vmf, open that with quark, then export to .map and open in constructor and do texturing and stuff.
