Yes. I completely agree with that.

Nope. here, let me Rattle your thoughts.

It shouldn't matter whose flaming, you should be mature enough to Just ignore it.
oic what your saying.

I wasn't flamed when I joined and I've never seen anyone else flamed simply for the fact that they're new. I don't see where people are drawing the conclusion that the community flames newcomers from.

Good.

but if anyone else is still confused about that, here's an Example It takes A bit of imagination tho.

Your at the door to heaven, your so happy to find out that you were not cursed to hell. You walk to the golden gate, with 2 people In front of you, A complete Idiot, and bill gates. To get trough to the gates of heaven, you must walk to the gate with both people Punching, kicking, and violently attacking. But you get trough anyways.

It didn't really matter who was attaching its the fact that you could get trough.

Good point, don't just flame because they are 'new' do it because them do something stupid.

On purpose, or by accident. Maybe both...

Maybe if they are pathitic enough they will at the slightest notion of hostility, or jokes*.

* Numberous times people have raged over a sarcasm joke.

It isn't a good thing that newcomers find themselves repelled by the behavior of people on this forum.
I haven't noticed that newcomers get flamed per-se, as generally, if they are quiet and clever, they can get by without making too many problems, but if a person makes a fool of themselves somewhere, they're goners as soon as Drama gets wind of it.
And it is generally the new guys who make fools of themselves.

You keep up this godawful formatting and you'll get a topic of your own, man.
Regardless, this latches onto the "no pain, no gain" theory, but I fail to see the logic in that. You shouldn't have to suffer to do something, and people indeed don't.

Not every noob makes it to the Drama forum, some never, even if they have a topic of their own. If they don't come here, then they don't get flamed. This counters your stuffty theory of pain and suffering to naturally moderate the community.

I didn't necessarily mean Every new guy who drops by, I meant the ones who might have made a single mistake. Because once they do they then see what the community is really like, and if this is a place for them to spend time.

The ones that make a mistake generally only get flamed for being complete idiots. The ones that scream and rage and use giant font with colors don't go down well, and bad spelling, formats and beliefs only serve to increase the problem. I've only seen one of that sort of person, and he didn't leave, despite earning three Drama topics. Its not a case of braving a flaming, but simply not visiting the Drama section. That isn't anything to commend.

Not really, no. The people on here are starfishs, and not an accurate representation of people you are likely to meet on the street.

Bullstuff. I have never seen a moment when people make a topic saying "Get out", "GTFO" or any variation on that and it works.

After what I went through.

I would have to agree.

This would come as a result of you not having joined but just always having been. (as in, I don't recall a "HI IM AMADE" topic)

True; if there is one virtue of pandan I respect it would be his ability to take the flame without becoming JDofPivot.

When was the last time you saw a "OHAI GUISE I R NOO" topic?

I have seen a few actually. Since when? I would say about a month ago.

But most of those "Hi I'm new" threads go over well with people spamming stuff like "Welcome to Blockland" and whatnot.
