I played this game after a friend convincing me to try, and hated it. It's like playing a spreadsheet with pretty pictures.

It's full of starfishs (I was getting ganked 5 minutes into the game when I picked up a container), it's laggy, it's point-and-click, players that have played longer will have better stats than someone who has played less, and it takes forever to do anything. And it's stat based; a player's gaming skill doesn't mean squat if you can instagib enemy ships and spam drones everywhere because you've been playing since 2005.

I'll stick with X3: Terran Conflict, thank you.

Spoken like a true dumbass.

I don't see how saying the game or being point and click or saying stat based gameplay sucks means I'm a dumbass. I realized after picking up the container that the guy had the right to attack me; doesn't make it fair that I was being spawncamped from the nearest station by him, with me in the stuffty spawn ship and him in a high-end frigate (which meant I lasted a whole 2 seconds, most of which was the game lagging)

Any time I tried to do an action with my ship (like setting it to orbit), it would take at least half a second for the ship to respond. Point and click is more monotonous than actually flying your ship. Stat based combat means player skill takes a back seat in battle, and for that matter everything else in the game. There's a goddamn 'corporate management' skill or some bullcrap for christ's sake.

EVE is basically every stuffty korean MMO combined with some bits from space games tacked on. And shiny ships.

EVE: Online

More like

SNOOZE: Online

lololol

i'm into games that when you put a lot of hard work into it you get some good things back. also mining is boring (it's what i've heard) but PvP and doing missions is pretty interesting but seeing as most people don't have the patience to do that beacsue they're use to getting everything in the game in a week it's no wonder you guys think it's boring.

PROTIP: raging because you did stupid stuff in an MMO doesn't mean it sucks

because you did stupid stuff in an MMO doesn't mean it sucks
Yeah, it does.

Doing a stupid thing shouldn't completely ruin the game.

Good job ignoring everything else I say and only saying I'm an idiot for one thing.

We all have our own opinions and reservations about games. I personally like EVE because the economic side of things grabs my fancy.

I like the economics side of EVE, and the massive scale as well.

I do not like the grind and the boring combat. WOOOOSH FLY AROUND IN CIRCLES AROUND THE ENEMY AND HOPE YOU DON'T DIE.

Yeah, it's really a lifestyle thing. It's perfect for me, because I set myself up mining, and then do my chemistry homework.

Then once I'm finished, I hop into my PvP ship and fly around destroying mining barges.

lol

wow

PVP is the fun part of the game, dumbass.

I don't know what to think about this game. My brother has played it for 3-4 years I think and he never gets tired of it. Dust 514 sounds pretty cool; he wants me to play it so I can work for his corp, whenever it comes out.

I'm also hanging out for Dust 514 so I can interact with my console-loving friends. I'm also waiting for players being able to leave their ships, although I'm not holding my breath on that one :)

PVP is the worst part of the game, dumbass.

All you do is fly around in circles around the enemy with them moving around so much they're a pain in the ass to click. And you spam missiles and use potions with a different name. WOO
