Why is TF2 crashing on me? I start the game up, it'll show the loading screen but then crashes with no given reason. What the hell is going on?

I reinstalled TF2 and it is still doing this. All I did was type in -dxlevel 75 or whatever in advanced options and now it doesn't work anymore.

Source engine doesn't support direct x 7. replace the 75 with either 85 or 95.

-dxlevel 81 is my favorite. Shiny Ubers, yet lower graphics.

Also, whenever someone shoots my spray, it disappears, for me atleast. Is it just because it's animated?

Haha, yeah same. I have around 13 extra ambassadors that I was about to throw out, right before I saw the update.

If i can find the correct recipes to make what i want, that is... :S

I still don't quite understand how recipes will work. Will they just be things you discover through trial-and-error (So that once one of your friends finds one, he can tell you how to make the item), or will they also be items you need to find?

Which leads me to believe on the TF2 Wiki, once this happens, people will make a list of known recipes and what they could make, which may make TF2 seem more like an RPG to unfamiliar people :(

I bet you Need the blueprint to accualy do that certain one.

Like, if you wanted to combine things, you need that blueprint to do it.

I think we would be safe to assume otherwise, because they say "Some you need to puzzle out on your own". To me, that implies that we just need to know the combination, not have a blueprint item.
