Counter Strike: Source game is forgeted up

Here's whats happened. After downloading the game, I tried to connect to a few servers. After downloading or while downloading, it freezes. The game not the computer. After using the Tast Manager, it says "hl2.exe is not responding"
This has happened to every server I go to and even when I try to host one

Whats going on?
Also, I know this isnt the Steam Forums. So dont be all "DIS IZNT STEEM FURUMS" as of course, I can see the "BLOCKLAND FORUMS" on the top left

Your firewall or antivirus program is probably blocking it. Disable them or add counter strike the the exceptions list.

This, or perhaps a patch is blocking you, that you need to dl off their website

Specs determine nothing. I can connect to servers, just only 1 at a time before I have to restart CS:S

Please be aware that joining a server after you join another one requires sometimes that CS:S has to get the site listed for the MOTD
This MOTD can cause a bit of lag for a second on my 1gig RAM computer. Maybe it's too much for yours?
