Author Topic: What is the point of social networking?  (Read 1503 times)

What is it? And what is the point of it?

It's a common question – what's the point of social networks? The most common answer is basically none. Most social networks provide yet another way to get in touch and keep in touch with people which is great but lets face it, there are about a billion different ways to communicate and leaving.

It is used so that people can feel important and to avoid REAL social interaction.

Oh... so it's for keeping in touch? Why would anyone want to do that?

Well, imagine a friend moves away. You never got their phone number, and you probably won't see them again. What do you do to keep in touch?
