Wrong, all the beta testers bought their own keys.  The only people to have received a "free" key are Badspot and Kompressor, because they're the ones who made the stinkin game.

V0002 is free. That's about as far as you'll get.

We did get the opportunity to purchase the keys slightly before everyone else though.

Mocheeze was actually a little too enthusiastic about buying it. Badspot had opened the registration for ID 0 for 5 minutes so he could register his account and Mocheeze actually bought it then. Badspot had to manually change his ID.
