I bet they are just going to make a subscription with extra features, as mentioned earlier. Maybe extra features, but keeping game online abilities and web browser or whatever. They'd get in heaps of trouble if they suddenly switched to having to pay for online as millions have got it for free previously.

That always bugged me: Who's the dipstuff that invented that? You have to type a serial key to play with someone online, rather than attribute, say, a nickname to a console.
