Just because you download a game instead of buying a box doesn't mean that you should get it free. It's one of the great travesties of gaming that pieces of gaming stuff like this sell for $40 and people like Garry Newman and Eric Hartman only charge $20 for their game. If game price were directly proportional to quality, I would be more than happy to pay $50+ for Blockland and Gmod, where I would buy Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel with the money that I excavate from my navel on a daily basis.

Let me ask you a question.
You spend hours and hours developing a game, all those hours of developing are backbreaking (not literally) labor. You used up all that time of your life to develop it and make it cost money. Now, you begin to get a steady income. Not only that but this is your only job, you don't work anywhere else. If you were to make it free what would happen?
