how can the company that created halo loose the rights to making more
Microsoft owns the Halo franchise, Bungie was working on a contract that is now ending.

Its the other way around.

Damn it
Nearly-R.I.P. Halo :C

I'd seriously buy an Xbox for this if I had the money.

How does that not make sense?
Think about that.
Anyway:
Bungie owned the Halo rights, but Bungie split off of Microsoft. Microsoft kept the rights to Halo. Microsoft now owns the Halo franchise.

For some reason I lol'd at the spartan with the skull on his helmet.

This game will be screwed up, since the SPARTAH LAZOR will be in it, but yet it had yet to be in Halo: CE and Halo 2.

Also, there is some cool ass needler thingy. But better.

The games cannot be considered 100% canon due to balancing, modification, and the fact that the Spartan Laser had yet to be thought up. Just like Huragok weren't in 1-3 but were in ODST.

Ignoring the entire "new engine, different gameplay" detail.

Pretty much, yeah.
But I'm going to be stubborn and say it's just the same walk forward and shoot stuff gameplay.

The first one is the only best and revolutionary game in the series. So is ODST.

With the armor looking bulkier to me, it makes me think of Halo mixed with Gears of War...

The trailer looked very cool, can't wait till this game comes out! :D

I got ODST so I get to Beta test. My friend also bought ODST but doesn't have xboxLIVE, so who wants a beta ticket?
